MB Padfield- 5 Questions

MB Padfield- 5 Questions

MB Padfield is a musician from NH who I recently saw at a Rocking Horse Studio showcase in Bicentennial Square. I was so impressed with her performance that I approached her after her set to ask her a few questions. Things went smoothly after she realized I was not a creeper looking for her telephone number and a writer for Yourband. Note to self- Maybe I should stop wearing long trench coats and flashing people as a way of greeting…. Anyways… on to the questions!

1. You recorded an album with Brian at Rocking Horse Studios- What was the best part about recording at RHS?

MB Padfield: I loved working with Rocking Horse Studios and having Brian as my co-producer. It's nice to work with someone who knows what they're doing

2. What is the most memorable thing to happen to you at a show?

MB Padfield: Funny you mention that, I must have this perpetual full moon that follows me around whenever I play. I was at a show once and an older guy told me "You're so hot... you're just like my daughter"... That was interesting

3. Do you find yourself floating down rivers in metal wash bins frequently?

MB Padfield: Only in red pumps

4. If you had to pick a number between 1 and 10- what number would you NOT pick and why?

MB Padfield: 9 or 10. As a musician I really only use 1 through 8, and my amps at 11.

5. What is your favorite instrument to play?

MB Padfield: Any instrument with glitter!

6. You recently got accepted to Berklee College of Music in Boston- What are you most looking forward to about the experience?

MB Padfield: I'm looking forward to the challenge, it's definitely going to push me.

7. Do you mind that we asked you 6 questions and not five?

MB Padfield: Gah, you guys are making me work
