As we all know, Go Local Camp N Jam V is just around the corner; Saturday June 28th to Sunday June 30th. As a build up to that weekend, we are featuring a few of the musical acts over the next week that you will be able to see at the festival. Today’s featured musical act is Rachel Vogelzang
Rachel joined the ranks of the local music scene back in 2009 when she started performing at local open mics at venues like the Green Martini. Since then she has taken her voice and acoustic guitar to all the local venues, sharing the stage with such acts as The Ghost Dinner Band and Seth Wonka Band. You also may have caught Rachel performing live at market Days in Bicentennial square in downtown Concord or more recently this past Sunday at the NH Women United Rally on the State House lawn. Rachel now hosts the open mic at Tandy’s on Tuesdays from 9-12 pm.
One might say she is Tori Amos, Fiona Apple and Rage Against the Machine all rolled into one. Rachels voice and song writing skills brings her to the forefront of local performers. Most famously she wrote a song after the burning of the local favorite,Green Martini. It is a song that brought a community together and a tear to the eye. Watch a video of the song below. You can catch Rachel Vogelzang at Camp N Jam on the Pleasant Stage Saturday the 29th at 12:30 PM.
